They were unable to work a deal with Seattle GM Pat Gillick to allow them to consider Lou Piniella. After this failed, the Mets finally hired Art Howe with the permission and blessing of the Oakland Athletics. This song casts Mets GM Steve Phillips as Freddie Mercury.
