Bud’s a real nowhere man,
Sitting in his nowhere land,
With his stupid baseball plans, he’s nobody.
Doesn’t have a single clue,
Tells you one and one ain’t two,
Buddy, boy, resign. You’re through, today.
Nowhere man, please listen,
It’s the game that you’re dissing,
Nowhere man, the game is played for the fans.
(Instrumental interlude)
Realignment didn’t fly,
Then contraction went bye-bye,
This all-star stuff will simply die, you see.
Nowhere man, don’t linger,
Fans give you the finger,
Leave it all for somebody who has better plans.
Doesn’t have a single clue,
Tells you one and one ain’t two,
Buddy, boy, resign. You’re through, today.
Nowhere man, please listen,
It’s the game that you’re dissing,
Nowhere man, the game is played for the fans.
Bud’s a real nowhere man,
Sitting in his nowhere land,
With his stupid baseball plans, he’s nobody.
With his stupid baseball plans, he’s nobody.
With his stupid baseball plans, he’s nobody.
January 11, 2003: Baseball commissioner Bud Selig did it again. He made a pronouncement that the All Star Game should determine home field advantage in the World Series. This goes along with previous proposals to move all the Eastern teams into one league and the rest of baseball to the other, the idea to contract two teams on the heels of one of the most exciting World Series ever played, and a negotiated labor agreement that solved absolutely nothing. Baseball fans, this Bud's certainly not for you.
